HUH... ARSENAL PLAYER APPLAUDING ROONIE

Half the footballing world felt it necessary to come out of the woodwork and praise Wayne Rooney after he became Manchester United’s all-time record goalscorer.

And while nobody could condemn congratulatory messages to Rooney after his remarkable achievement, one man may be regretting his show of support.

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, who is currently on loan at Bournemouth, took to twitter to label Rooney a ‘proper captain’ and the best skipper he’s played with in the aftermath of the historic goal.

While most simply saw this as an admirable gesture from one England international to another, some Arsenal fans didn’t take it particularly well.
