Eid special.....Bel Sharbat..

INGREDIENTS


  • Stone apple (belfal) halved and seeded 1

  • Sugar 1/3 cup

  • Lemon juice 2 1/2 teaspoons


METHOD


Step 1


Scoop out the flesh of the stone apple with a spoon and put into a non stick pan. Add 4 cups water and heat. Add sugar and mix well.



Step 2


Add lemon juice and mix and cook till sugar dissolves.Remove from heat and strain. Set aside to cool then keep in a refrigerator to chill.



Step 3


Pour into glasses and serve chilled. You can also soak the pulp in water for a few hours,  strain the pulp through a sieve & serve.
