HOW TO MAKE SAHLAB

INGREDIENTS


  • Milk 2 cups

  • Sugar 4 tablespoons

  • Rose water 1 teaspoon

  • Sugar 1/4 cup

  • Cinnamon powder for sprinkling

  • Chopped almonds for topping

  • Desiccated coconut for topping

  • Chopped pistachios for topping

  • Honey for drizzling


                                  

METHOD



Step 1


Put cornstarch and ¼ cup water in a bowl and mix till you get a smooth paste.



Step 2


Heat milk in a deep non-stick pan, add cornstarch paste and stir continuously.



Step 3


Add rose water and sugar, mix well and cook till the custard thickens. Switch off the heat, cool and pour into a silicon container and refrigerate till set.



Step 4


Remove from the silicon container and upturn on a serving platter. Sprinkle cinnamon powder, top with almonds, desiccated coconut and pistachios. Drizzle honey on top.



Step 5


Serve chilled.
